The second term is progressing well. After the Spring Festival we started our series of Chinese painting sessions which the children seem to enjoy.

The last day of this term is 2 April 2010. The summer term starts on 12 April 2010.

 

- Making up missed classes: Parents are reminded to keep track of their children’s schedule as 3i Art Center will not grant any monetary refunds for the missing classes. In future 3i Art Center will inform parents on two different time slots for making up missed classes. Only in special circumstances we may be able to arrange individual appointments.

On Friday, 19 March 2010 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm we have scheduled an extra oil painting class. On Saturday, 27 March 2010 from 6:00pm  to 7:30pm we have scheduled an extra Chinese painting class. If you need to make up a missed class, please register in the office with Ms. Wang to make an appointment. The content of these classes will be at the required level and address the techniques to be studied during this term. Please be reminded that we are not able to make up missed classes on a one-to-one basis since different students did miss different classes. 3i Art Center reserves the right to arrange for a new class content for the above mentioned sessions.

 

- Next term’s class schedule will be published soon. Main focus will be on line drawing and watercolor followed then again by a series of oil painting sessions.

 

- 3i Art Center will be participating in its first international art competiton for 8 to 12 year old children organised by the ICAF (International Child Art Foundation) in Washington, USA. For the participating children 3i Art Center held a special workshop on Sunday, 7 March 2010. More opportunities will be available in the future, also for younger children.

 

- 3i Art Center is currently organising its next art exhibition. We would kindly like to inquire with some of our parents if anyone is possibly holding some free recources (suggestions, exhibition space etc.) which can be made available to 3i Art Center for this year’s exhibition (probably May/June).
